Welcome to the Central DuPage Hospital EMS System. Our system was formed in 1990 with five local fire departments and one private ambulance company. CDH EMS now serves as a state-designated Resource Hospital for the following: Carol Stream Fire Protection District, Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital Mobile Stroke Unit, Glen Ellyn Volunteer Fire Company, Roselle Fire Department, West Chicago Fire Protection District, Wheaton Fire Department, Winfield Fire Protection District, and the Superior Ambulance Company. DuPage Public Safety Communications (Ducomm) serves as our Emergency Medical Dispatch center.

We also oversee a Paramedic Class Program. This is a one year program to achieve EMT-P status. We run this in conjunction with the College of DuPage. CDH EMS is part of Region 8. Our system provides continuing education for our medics.
